bull ropes I offer are custom built by myself one at a time as ordered. Lead time from order date to actual shipping your
rope varies depending on my back log and averages 3 to 6 weeks. If I'm caught up I may
be able to have your bull rope ready to ship in less than a couple weeks. Sometimes I build the basic ropes that are
the most called for and they will just need to be laced up. Please be patient on your order as building a custom
bull rope is very labor intensive and I want you to get the best bull rope I can build and that means I wont rush a rope.
I'll do my best to get your rope to you in at timely manner. To be fair to everyone
I schedule bull ropes by money received along with date ordered and will email or call you when I start work on your bull

How to tie a bull rope knot

 The following
is a short list of details I'll be asking you when your ready to order, this will help you prepare your custom bull rope.
First I need to know what style of bull rope you are needing, American conventional, Brazilian, offset or talk to me about
it and I'll tell you if I can build it.
Not a problem if you're not sure about any of the details listed, based on our conversation, I can make
recommendations and we'll go from there.
1- Body or
loop end, 7 ft is standard, bull rope build being a 9x9, 9x7, 9x5. If your interested in a "Baby Nine" please
scroll down and read the section on the baby 9 ropes first.
2- sliders are included, stitched loop only adds $10.00 to your order, color choices are red, neon green, dark
green, neon pink, white, electric blue, navy blue, neon orange, neon turquoise, black, brown or make a suggestion
and I'll try to order it for your rope If I dont have it
3- Bottom or base handle length, anything from
8" to 12"
4- Handle width, 11/16" - 3/4" - 7/8" - 1" or what have you. usually
based on your hand or riding glove size
5- Handle riser from an inch to 2", this is the handle
lacing that begins in the block and X laced up into the handle
6- Handle lacing, which hand do you ride with? I'm
seeing a trend among the pro's that seems to be going back to 3/4 full lace 1/4 skip or handles built with some kind
of skip lacing. This tells me they are feeling a need for some give to help with past wrist injuries or they want a handle
that wont lock their hand in, something to consider. Dura cord built into the top handle
7- Handle slack, otherwise known as finger slack or rise for the handle, look at the explanation near the bottom of
this page
8- Wear strip starting just after the handle return, full width after the handle strands are
dropped then 18" to 24" with your choice of chute cord color braided into the wear strip in single or
double row
9- Tail length, 8 ft being the standard, can be anything you prefer within reason
10-
Tail final width after the wear strip and braided hard/tight 9 plait, firm to soft 7(cheater 9) or soft
to mushy 5 plait, mushy being anything from 1 1/2" to 2" wide and loose enough you can stick your fingers
through the braids. Remember that the softer and looser the braid is the bigger the chance for hanging a spur in
it on the get off
Below are not included but can be added to your bull rope:
1- Stitched loop (crows feet)
instead of sliders for only $10.00 more, I can mix it up with 2 sliders and 1/2 of the body stitched at either end of
the body
2- Wear strip 1" wide nylon webbing hand sewn up to 30" starting just after the handle strands
are dropped for $20.00
3- Full leather wear strip from handle tie in for 30" only - no shorter,
this will insure the leather is well in the loop to minimize hanging up. Comes with the concho and side wraps, I can
leave off the concho if you prefer. This is made from oiled Indian tan leather in brown and will not take dye for the
lettering. I can hand stamp a name but the letters wont be colored $25.00
4- Oval handle 3/4 full laced -
1/4 half round full laced or skip laced $15.00
5- personalized bull rope name plate with concho included
and installed onto the wear strip in instead of the full leather wear strip $20.00 using chute cord braided into
the wear strip and you can add in the nylon webbing wear strip listed above with it. Please consider some
of these custom add on's can add an extra day to a bull rope build as they are hand made by me as ordered and built to
match your bull rope.
After we get all the
specs for your bull rope, I can give you the total and payment options available.
